Welcome to Singapore Headphones Shop
Headphones are an essential piece of equipment for any music enthusiast. A great pair of headphones can create a surreal listening experience, whereas a low-quality pair will significantly affect your listening enjoyment. As with many other things, quality is directly proportional to the price. In layman's terms, you get what you pay for. If you listen to music regularly in your leisure time, then you will want to keep your music from disturbing others around you. There are many different types of headphones; they vary in size, shape, and sound-quality.
The main types of headphones are:
* Circumaural β€” these have circular ear pads that fit around the ear.
* Supra-auralβ€” these have pads that sit on top of the ear.
* Earbuds β€” these are placed directly outside the ear canal. They are generally smaller than other types.
* Canalphones β€” these are inserted directly into the ear canal, they are about the same size as earbuds.
For portability and comfort, you can't go wrong with the earbuds or the canalphones. If you usually listen to your music on the bus, or while you work then these are perfect for you. Their smaller size makes them easier to store, and they are very compact and lightweight. On the downside, they can cause discomfort after a while and they provide lower sound quality than their counterparts.
If you are looking for richer, fuller sound, then you need circumaural headphones. They envelop the ear completely keeping out sounds from your environment, while enhancing the intricacies of the music you are listening to. One of the disadvantages to these is that they are fairly cumbersome to carry around. Also, a good pair of circumaural headphones will cost a bit more than earbuds or supra-aural headphones, but for the rich musical experience they offer, it's worth the cost.
Supra-aural headphones are less invasive than earbuds and canalphones, and less enveloping than a pair of circumaural headphones. That being said, a good pair of these will still offer decent sound quality although not as good as a pair of circumaural headphones.
So there you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about which type of headphones to buy. When buying a pair of headphones from an online shop or local electronics retailer, the important thing is to make sure that your listening experience remains pleasant and your sound quality does not detract from it.
